Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine has a unique style that blends R&B with gospel, soul music, and R&B. Avery Sunshine has performed on Broadway and at festivals in Europe. She has also performed at the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. She is originally from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her music career playing piano and singing at church. In Atlanta, she attended Spellman College where her musical education began in the Atlanta's R&B Scene. In 2005, she became the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her voice, asked Sunshine to join the Dreamgirls production at the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention for her daily shows during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform in the Obama administration's 2008 inauguration.
